Tom Hardy has confirmed that he will be starring as notorious gangster Al Capone in Fonzo. The actor was rumoured to be taking on the role of one of the world’s biggest mobsters in the new movie. And now he has confirmed the casting and posted an image on his Instagram, along with a caption that says, “Time for Al Cap.”

The film will reportedly focus on Capone at the age of 47 and his final years after a decade of imprisonment in the famed Alcatraz. When his dementia starts to take over, Capone becomes increasingly disoriented and tormented as harrowing memories of his violent past come back to haunt him.
Chronicle director Josh Trank is set to direct with filming scheduled to start in April.
